What is Organic Skincare?
Our skin is the body’s largest organ and it absorbs things, even things that aren’t good for us. And we constantly barrage our skin with toxic ingredients via personal care products – thanks to an egregiously under-regulated industry.
Unlike food, there are zero FDA regulations of the word “organic” in skincare, and anyone can write the word “organic” or “natural” on their products without having a single drop of true organic ingredients. That’s why we’ve certified our entire line to USDA Organic standards, using only the highest quality food-grade 100% plant-based ingredients, GMO-free with zero chemicals, pesticides, additives, preservatives or colorants.
Our entire product line is USDA Certified Organic by Baystate Organic Certifiers, one of the top certifying programs. Baystate Organic Certifiers inspects our company from top to bottom, including our workspace, reviewing how we manufacture, ship and account for every ingredient in our products, making sure each one is grown and handled in strict accordance with USDA National Organic Program standards.
Raw, Vegan and 100% Plant-based
All our products contain simple ingredients you can read and understand. If you can’t pronounce the ingredient, you probably shouldn’t be putting it on your skin! OK, well maybe “Helichrysum” is a tongue-twister. Raw means we don’t apply heat above 100°F. This keeps the essential vitamins and nutrients intact. All of our oils and butters are unrefined, cold pressed virgin organic, delivering the maximum amount of skin benefiting microelements. Our entire line is also Vegan, with no animal or bee ingredients, and Cruelty Free. Test on animals?! Never!!
Because we don’t use any water or fillers in our products, we don’t need to add any artificial preservatives. The butters, essential oils and powders will not spoil due to their natural antibacterial properties. What you get is pure product.
Everything is hand-crafted fresh to order in small batches in Massachusetts. All our products come in beautiful glass containers to prevent plastic leeching into the product and light sensitive products are packaged in amber glass bottles to protect from light.
